I spent a few quiet minutes with this article earlier today, and it was time well spent. This article stood out to me since you break down complicated ideas without talking down to the reader. Honestly, this was one of the better pieces I have read lately because the writing feels honest, balanced, and well researched. Even the smaller details were handled with care, which is rare online. Hardly! Joan has nothing on Chrissie Hynde. What a body of work and still at it with great, original music over 40 years later. One of the best lyricists in rock. Joan is ok but hardly in the same league as Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders.
