The language is Luo, spoken in Kenya by the Luo tribe. The Luos live near lake Victoria. I'm Swedish myself but my girlfriend is Luo and she just heard the last couple of lines of the song. She was really surprised and happy to hear her own language. :-)

FYI — the whole album is great!
Good music is good music, no matter 'who?' sings it ... Or, 'where?' it comes from. This song is good music, both in instrument and in voice. I'd never heard of the artist, or the song before. Thanks RP, for broadening my musical education with such an entertaining example of 'why?' music is universal.
Music surpasses the boundries of language. I love this, but I have no idea what the translation is.

Her self-titles album dating from 2001 is a milestone
of world music!

A friend gave me this album; I love it.
I have no idea what she is saying, but I like it anyway.
Don't know much about this kind of music but I enjoyed this a lot.
I'm all for fusion, but that whole was not greater than the sum of its parts.

Not much into this one. Sounds like a much western-style music to support western-like flat vocals on Hindi lyrics.
