Her hallway aching
She'll never move him - likes it that way
He's just a walker and he'll never stop walking away
It's not too soon he said
It's not too soon at all
You might as well be dead he said
If you're afraid to fall
I said -
I know her
She said -
Why do you stare so hard
Wrapped up like a doll in bad dreams and broken arms
Make these old bones shiver
It's not too soon he said
It's not too soon at all
You might as well be dead he said
If you're afraid to fall
I said -
I know her
The last time I saw you,
You were standing in the dark
And with a freezing face,
I watched you fall apart
It's not too soon he said
It's not too soon at all
You might as well be dead he said
If you're afraid to fall
I said,
done your time
been in your place
I couldn't look you in the face
and tell you that it turns me on
it makes my stomach turn
I know her
About the only thing I got out of my college experience around this time ('89-"91) was exposure to incredible underground and alternative music. It has served me much better than anything I got from class.
That was a great time in music, if you knew where to look!
New album on the way and the new single is excellent. Hope to hear it on RP soon - William?!
Thanks William et al. I have now heard it, but only 2x. Looking forward to the whole album to be released this Friday 3/14.
I feel shortchanged that I didn't find these awesome bands in 1991. The radio station just kept slinging endless Jesus Jones, Divinyls, and Red Hot Chili Peppers at me, and not much else.
Right?! So much great talent that was somehow overlooked.
Sure glad to have been aquainted with much of it here on RP.

OK, this is a banger. Raising my rating.
It's that's crazy drumming. There's a jazz theme somewhere in it.

OH how I miss Jesus Jones!

That's alot of trouble, ya know
I think this precedes Liz by a few years
it sure does.
Good, but sounds so much like Liz Phair.

I had forgotten about The Throwing Muses, what brilliant music, I need to leave now.......
ETA: whoops - this came first. Sorry! Ash's '1977' album came out in '96. I'll get my coat...
Fun!

1. Possibly / probably...depending
2. Yes
I had it as a 7 already - means I'm all good - right?
Bill says it quite a lot, albeit mainly in English!
I hear it all the time in english, first time I heard it in my language, thought I imagined it!

Just a bit farther than you can toss a mime.
That's because a mime usually crashes into one of those invisible walls.

Just a bit farther than you can toss a mime.
At least mimes make a lot less noise when you toss them.

Only MUCH better!

That's "Bitchin' "

However - Different music for different people I guess.
Another case of PSD, at least for me.
I like being confused.

While goofing off, I checked out his Wikipedia page and noticed this:
"In 2005 Nelson and his family hosted the first annual 'Willie Nelson & NORML Benefit Golf Tournament', leading to a cover appearance and inside interview in the January 2008 issue of High Times magazine."
Makes you wonder whether his handicap improves after lighting up...
You're welcome. But Tanya gets the credit for this one.

(one of these days I'm going to crash the RP servers with all these gifs...)

Hear, hear! (Or is it here, here?) Anyway, I agree completely. Love her.
Thinking '84 for me, still Meh.......

I wish all of you "MERRY CHRISTMAS",
wherever you are - whoever you wanna be!
Christmas is a sweet-naive tradition -
not a religious event!
I like it anyway!
Still - I hope Bill takes the chance
to rock the christmas-tree to pieces tonight!
"Happy Christmas

Sermon of the day (promise: I'm serious):
The "Three Wise Men" - Melchior, Balthasar + Caspar
are buried in a golden sarcophage in"our" dome, the famous
"Cologne dome" - the third highest church-building
in the world - right in the very centre of town, next to the Rhine.
A gothic building of extra-class!

Just a bit farther than you can toss a mime.
I prefer to use a catapult for mimes — that way you don't have to grab around those invisible boxes that they protect themselves with.
Good tune - Tanya Donnely and Kristin Hersh.
I was convinced it was Liz Phair til I checked the playlist.
