I hear you Gene!  But as of today we have a new game. Now I'm the surfboard, which means I'm on hands and knees at the bottom in about 3 to 4 feet of water until one of the boys manages to stand on my back. Then I start moving forward accelerating as best I can underwater till they fall off and I can surface for a breath.
It worked surprisingly well.

I think it’s time that we invest in a boat since this will become the new normal.

Boy did it and has it been raining here. 40 years maybe. Something. Had to cancel a rehearsal last night because of it.
We're going to gather at open mic tonight (more rain expected) and salvage the week with some Doors stuff. I intend to go insane. Well,
only for a little while. Riders On The Storm seems appropriate. Maybe Five To One or Been Down So Long for a blues fix. LA woman because it's so satisfying to play and stretch out...

I was at the beach in SC, over 300 miles south of home when tropical depression Chantal decided to camp over the Orange County, NC,  where I reside, and drop about ten inches of rain.  Numerous homes and businesses were flooded, power is out for many, and there was one known fatality.  A friend, who was looking after my cat said I had never lost power.  My house is on higher ground so there was no flooding either.   Nowhere near the horror experienced in Texas, of course, but still.

Got it home, took it out of the box, assembled it, added the oil and it started to rain.

Buyer rated at 4.7. On sale $369.99 after $30 off.  Now I got to wait until late Saturday after the rains stop.

And today, with all this rain, they took us off the moderate drought.
But now the grass is 4” tall with all the rain.
