There isn't really any point to eating corn here because it's like wood chips, but last year I was in Upstate New York and we sat on a bench outside our hotel eating fresh corn cooked in the microwave and drinking an expensive bottle of local wine. Now that's living! |

I had some too! Ohioya corn snob that I am ![](graphics/smiles/icon_arrowd.gif) - I always peel back the husks a little to see the kernel size. I'm sure the produce people hate me for messing with the ears. But the kernels have GOT to be smallish and round—that is the most tender and sweet. The bigger the kernel, the more it tastes like tough field corn for the livestock. |

Our fave is 'Mexican Street Style'. Roast on the grill until you get some nicely-charred kernels, usually about 30 minutes, turn every ten minutes or so. Slather with sour cream, sprinkle with chili powder, squeeze on some lime juice. Messy and delicious.
