As an ex-clarinettist I'm a sucker for a bit of nicely played woodwind. I have to say, though, that when I saw the title "Ye-har" I was expecting something in a stetson hat.
Love Ethiopian jazz. About 15 years ago I was on a plane ride to Addis Ababa, checked the movie selection and there was only Marvel slop on offer. A lot of airlines actually have really interesting and well-curated world music sections that showcase the country you're heading to & that was how I discovered there's been a huge jazz scene in Addis for many decades.
I got this music a month ago random on my Spotify list when listening to jazz recommendations. I liked it back then. It's a nice surprise to see this on Radio Paradise.

magnificent, soothing sounds. Brings to mind Arabian, Egyptian tones with maybe influence from saharian guitar ..?
