Agree.  This guy's voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.
Jack is always worth a listen
Sansui is a Japanese brand founded i Tokyo, Japan i 1947. The company stopped export to America in 85 or late 1980' . The original brand seemed to stop in Japan 2014 - approximately!
"I'll bring back Sansui from that Dead"? - make sense?

Cranks up his Sansui G and smiles!
"Tu hésites un peu. Quand le label va-t-il nous larguer ? (Quand le label va-t-il nous larguer ?) Ils ont essayé de nous piéger, maintenant qu'on est dans quel genre vont-ils nous classer ? (Ils ont essayé de nous piéger)"

Looks like biotech Egregorious Octopuses 🥺

I've been listening for 4 hours and have heard Jack White once.

Disagree. RP is giving this album airplay because it's great. I was not a Jack White or White stripes fan- even disliked him. But this album and RP letting me hear it a few times has changed my mind. Jack rocks and is a unique talent!

Bonus points for the Sansui reference for us classic audiophile nerds

You beat me to it. I have my Dad's Sansui Model 2000 circa 1970. Had it serviced around 1988, still going strong.

Jack is very talented.

Jack can do it all. What genre/sound will be next? What a talent. I know people hate his guitar solo's and all I can say is get over it or hit SKIP!
high-stepping disco funk beat in effect
This No Name album is the perfect evolution of Jack White's repertoire. Totally familiar, yet new and fresh. Some real bangers on it. The main riff of this song is another hook. Love it!
What's the rumpus? And you ask US?
Quite a bit different from Gaelic Storm's What's The Rumpus, ha. I didn't think that song title would be duplicated anytime soon, but here it is.

I guess the antibiotics were not effective then.
EXCELLENT! I love how he wrings so much sound from his guitar, and gets such passion into his voice to sing the wild, angry, and well-twisted words from his heart.
This reminds me of the gangster flick Millers Crossing with Gabriel Byrne as his capo was forever saying "What's da rumpus?".

This is pretty crunchy and rocky :)
