Great song but it would be so much better with a real drummer. It's remarkable how we've become accustomed to digital nonhuman drummers. Not good. Not soulful. I mean, come on. Listen to this track and tell me it wouldn't be better with someone bashing away on an 'ol fashioned kit?
Hmm, well to be fair, the artist is a "one-man band" . You have a good point in general, but IMO not specifically applicable to sole performers like this or Bonobo. Plus drum kits are feckin' expensive for a singleton.
The same as you pronounce 'Clavdivs' ;o)

Its all his own work , maybe he doesn't play drums ..
I think it's pretty apparent that an actual drummer would add a certain something to the song that it seems to lack. But you should keep in mind that Oceanvs Orientalis is a one-man band, both in studio and live. I'm sure there are others, but the only solo performer that I can think of that does his own drumming is Xavier Rudd, but he has an outrageous stage setup that is not for the faint of heart.
Crazy setup for Xavier Rudd
The drum machine on Logic can be tweaked to add complexity (as can Cubase's Groove Agent). Used wisely and with proper attention to detail by the writer/producer, it's a good substitute for a drummer, plus it doesn't drink and fall off its drum stool.

Shakey Graves also does his own drumming when playing solo, with a kick drum made from a suitcase.
