Man, someone here REALLY loves the Chili Peppers.
Can't hear RHCP anymore without the anger from knowing Kiedis is a child groomer.
bass line still makes this good no mater how nonsensical the lyrics are
Great bassline on this one: I know that isn't particularly noteworthy in a RHCP track, but still worth mentioning that Flea's got a great driving basstone in this one and I feel the production highlights it well.

Yeah. Anthony still can’t sing.
There is not a Chili's song that I don't PSD, usually before I even know it's them.
RHCP is hit or miss for me. This tune is good, but not one of their greatest.

I wonder how he remembers all his pointless words.

Two guesses from me: (1) he wrote them and (2) he doesn't think they're pointless.
Sad story about the two of them -- he and his "cousin". (Song lyrics.) Hope they find a better life.

This doesn't sound interesting. Kinda deja vu.

No matter what one's opinion is. This seems to be a fact:
"With over 100 million records sold worldwide, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the best-selling bands of all time.
They are the most successful band in the history of alternative rock,
with the records for most number-one singles (14), most cumulative weeks
at number one (85) and most top-ten songs (25) on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart." - Wikipedia
So give these kids a break, they may find success one day. ;-)
Popularity isn't a good measure of taste. I think most people like McDonalds over other , better, foods.

Oh, not this again!
I can't explain why I like this group -- I'm OK with punk, and the vocalist is an OK singer, but their chemistry just really appeals to me. They're a tight group, and I just do not get tired of their sound.

There is nothing by this group that isn't a 1 for me. I can barely stand to listen to them. I know I should give some sort of explanation or reasoning, but words fail me. RHC -->> PSD.

I have a pathological dislike for this band, so I am sad to see this new album take up precious space in the RP rotation.
I wonder how he remembers all his pointless words.

I understand that this is the first record they cut without Rick Rubin. It shows. Can't say I am a fan.

Nice to see something new from them, but this is "meh".
It's getting a bit overplayed this month.

Meh
In describing his writing process for this album - and perhaps every RHCP album - Anthony Kiedis had this to say: "I had a unique situation in so much as I didn't have the luxury of editing or censoring. Whatever came I had to make use of." I think this is why their music is so homogenous and the lyrics utterly nonsensical.
They need to call it a career.
this is pretty bad
