As was the case with Future Islands, with regards to alt-J, at first I was intrigued by the cool, trippy music, but the vocal stylings just dimmed it all for me. Then, thanks to RP exposure, and hearing them in all sorts of contexts, I came to appreciate them more. I now adore Future Islands, and this weird song can definitely TRIP me if I'm unsuspecting. All I have to do is get that sorta sycamore feeling...know what I mean? Jenny Kush helps!

The tune is grand. I knocked it down from a 7 to a 6 because they brought Miley into it. And yes, she's really talented. Her addition feels like a gimick.

I feel that this is one of the best albums of recent years. Each song compliments the ones around it for a cohesive flow.
The weakness of this is that the individual songs tend to not stand all that well on their own. Take them out of the context of the album and you get... well, responses like most of those seen below.

Agreed, but Mr Stingray Mk 2 is a marked (sorry for the pun) improvement over the prior version, so I am happy he is enthusiastic.
