Used to love DMB until Dave went through the 12 step, now he is so preachy.

It was going so well with the music tonight...and then DMB came along and made a radish out of the whole thing. Oh well - the next song will sound like musical bliss by comparison.
My god he's vanilla. I'm guessing Consumer Reports recommend his music, along with Phil Collins and Sting.

I don't usually feel compelled to want to switch off RP, but DMB just came on. *Mute*
Love it. Thank you RP! This is the first time I've heard DMB on here. A little more wouldn't hurt. Just a little :)
Just when I think my musical epoch has ended (and music is nothing but 20-year girls old whining in Icelandic about ponies in dreams), out comes something this great and I feel its all still happening. It? All? ...Rock-n-roll I mean.

I am with you, I love the quality of the voice, it makes this band distinctive.. and yes.... very ENJOYABLE
He's voice is sooooo sexy. And yes, I'm aware that's a minority opinion.

Awesome, I am excited! The more I hear "Mercy", the more excited I am, that the new album may just possibly take us back to Dave's older stuff... yay!
WOW! great to hear the new DMB song on RP. I am told by reliable sources that this album will compare favorably to the other Steve Lillywhite produced DMB albums. Can't wait to hear more songs from the new album (out 9/11/12).

That makes a lot of sense. I'd rather hear Geddy Lee than Dave Matthews any day! Well, and Rush, too.
Hmmm.....how about getting Dave and Rush to have a duet?

Mitch Mitchel with Hendrix at his near best on drums here. Who is the better? Watts with the Stones or Mitchell? Depends on the context.......tip

I find DMB to be a lot like Rush for two reasons; 1) very polarizing- either you love them or hate them and 2) they both have some of the best musicianship possible with the singer/singing being the weakest link. Most (not all) musicians tend to worship these bands and rightly so. As a drummer I happen to be a big fan of both (Neil Peart and Carter Beauford = great chops).

The pre-release buzz about DMB's next album is positive for the most part. You can hear the Lillywhite influence on this song.

Too bad there's not a button to mute out the negative comments about this very talented man!
Just my opinion, but I find Dave Matthews to be almost as irritating as Counting Crows (but not quite).
How did I not know they had a new album!? I really hope it doesn't disappoint... the last few albums don't even hold a candle to Dave's earlier stuff. Here's to hoping for something similar to the early DMB sound, which I dearly love.

Not too bad, but 'MUTE' is better.

Surely would like to hear more DMB on RP. Not sure how much this new song (Mercy) measures up to the great history of tracks, but appreciate hearing it.
They have had this in heavy rotation on tour this summer, such a pretty song:)
This studio version is sounding mighty fine as well!
