It was going so well with the music tonight...and then DMB came along and made a radish out of the whole thing. Oh well - the next song will sound like musical bliss by comparison.
My god he's vanilla. I'm guessing Consumer Reports recommend his music, along with Phil Collins and Sting.

Awesome, I am excited! The more I hear "Mercy", the more excited I am, that the new album may just possibly take us back to Dave's older stuff... yay!

WOW!  great to hear the new DMB song on RP.  I am told by reliable sources that this album will compare favorably to the other Steve Lillywhite produced DMB albums.  Can't wait to hear more songs from the new album (out 9/11/12).

Mitch Mitchel with Hendrix at his  near best on drums here.  Who is the better? Watts with the Stones or Mitchell?  Depends on the context.......tip

I find DMB to be a lot like Rush for two reasons; 1) very polarizing- either you love them or hate them and 2) they both have some of the best musicianship possible with the singer/singing being the weakest link.  Most (not all) musicians tend to worship these bands and rightly so.  As a drummer I happen to be a big fan of both (Neil Peart and Carter Beauford = great chops).

The pre-release buzz about DMB's next album is positive for the most part.  You can hear the Lillywhite influence on this song.

How did I not know they had a new album!? I really hope it doesn't disappoint... the last few albums don't even hold a candle to Dave's earlier stuff. Here's to hoping for something similar to the early DMB sound, which I dearly love.
