"I've seen all good people ...."
After enough of this repetitively repetitive repetitiveness .... some thoughts:
Come on RP just play some Marshall Tucker instead!
Hey, or Wet Wille!
And wait — hey, that riff is that old Yes song.
Not a winner.

Unfortunately, this bands' music just lies flat for me. The singing is more or less OK, but rarely elicits any real emotional response from me. This song in particular is too earnest without the compensation of an interesting melody or even interesting lyrics.
Saw them in concert for the third time this week. They continue to get better and the crowds are getting bigger. Keep it coming!

Eek, another song reminiscent of Casimir Pulaski Day.

The Avett Brothers are overplayed

I don't know about these guys. They're kinda like a car wreck for me, I know I shouldn't look and pay attention to where I am going but I can't help listening.
The more I hear from this album, the more I like it.
These boys are going places.... Some of their stuff is somewhat off the wall, but it's all coming from their soul.
Totally agree with the Led Zep influence, couldn't place it but you hit it on the head

They're comfortable on this one. Let's upload a few old cuts that were shunned in the past.
Please do...I'll head over to the LRC and start voting.
I got this CD for christmas and have LOVED it.

Kind of sounds like they took LZ's "Your Time is Gonna Come" and decided to to write some different words...
this is pretty grooovie...from the comments, we are hearing a subtle side...bring on the wild side!

I vote you try for "At the Beach" on their "Mignonette" CD to capture the earlier "unpolished" but funky vibe
Well, it's already here. I was thinking Matrimony and Die Die Die. Talk on Indolence probably won't make it through.

I don't care if it was produced by Rick Rubin ... it sucks and so does the other tune. BORING and painful vocals.

Too bad this album is most peoples' introduction to the Avett Brothers. I think they got a bit too serious since it's their major label debut and all. Older albums are fresh and energetic with a good dose of thoughtfulness too, but this album is missing their legendary spark.

I saw these guys in concert in Hanford, CA last year. They rocked the stage, high energy, string breaking music. They have a few ballads, too. This one is OK.

I'm really liking what I've been hearing of these guys. Really love this song, but then again, I'm a sucker for pretty acoustic ballads. Thanks again, Bill for another great discovery!

Something just not right about this song

7 for the lyric
This is painful. Repetitive. Limited range of vocals. Melodically challenged. The guitar and mandolin are okay.
This is the 2nd song I've heard by this band. I like what I'm hearing.

Agreed. They put on a great show. Arlington must have been a great venue for them.
