Placebo is FRIGGIN' HUGE all over Europe. Hardly a strong following here unfortunately.  I love them. Met them after a gig in Charlotte in 2007.  Good lads. Yes their latest lp is not as good as earlier stuff.

yeah, agreed - i hear rush, though, and not in a good way at all.

and that other song that gets way too much play here "beautiful james" makes me a little stabby. i think i've just heard it too much.

Singer kind of reminds me of Colin Meloy from the Decemberists.  Nice to hear a good song from this century now and again. (Oh, and I am a boomer.)

So much hate for Placebo on RP! I like them, tho this isn't their strongest album. I wonder if our European listeners like them more than the US listeners?

I got to see them at the Hard Rock in San Diego, and it was one of my favorite small venue shows.
