You carry on, pal.  More Uncle Len for the rest of us who recognise a genius when we hear one...

Bah! This is good stuff.
Leonard was a brilliant poet but PSD was designed for this

Breathtaking. Listening sends be across lands foreign and domestic. My suggested DJ pairing: follow it with "Middle of the Road" by the Pretenders.
Everybody knows we lost three musical giants in 2016

Leonard Cohen — Everybody Knows (Live)
Everybody knows the sky is not fallin'
Does everybody know? Does anybody know. Who knows!

Excellent version I've never heard of a song I've loved for many years.

You say that like it's a bad thing, though I'm not too taken by this version.
I know Bill loves his covers, alternate versions and live renderings, but this and many of the others which get played here degrade the listening experience.  Sorry.

Apparently, everybody knows...

It's not easy to forget, listening to this.

Yuk. Yet another crappy live version of a song that's outstanding in the original studio recording.
Oh, yeah. This is from that phone recording in Japan where Johnny Cash got up on stage and did karaoke...{#Think}

I was "meh" on him for years, too, even while my BF of the time was a total, rabid, fanboy. Then I started to listen to the lyrics. Wow. Pure genius, qualifies as poetry, for sure...cuts to the core.
I like Concrete Blonde's cover of this song much better, but they can't seem to get any respect in the comments section. Johnette's vocals are much more dynamic.

Everybody knows is a great song. This version isn't...
