True enough. Juniper berries are essential in venison casseroles as they impart an important piquancy to the dish. On a complete tangent, there's an excellent Scottish malt whiskey called Tomatin, from the Gaelic Tom Aitinn, or hill of the juniper. A dram of which, after a bowl of venison casserole, would go down well whilst listening to this fine track
