Ya know that Annie's back in town
It won't take long, just watch and see
All the fellas lay their money down
Her style is new but the face the same as it was so long ago
But from her eyes, a different smile like of the one who knows
Well, it's been ten years or maybe more
Since I first set eyes on you
The best years of my life gone by, here I am alone and blue
Some people cry and some people die by the wicked ways of love
But I'll just keep on rollin' along
With the grace from the Lord above
People talkin' all around 'bout the way you left me flat
I don't care what the people say, I know where their jive is at
One thing I do have on my mind
If you could clarify, please do
It's the way you call me another guy's name
When I try to make love to you, yeah
I try to make love, it ain't no use
Give it to me, give it
Mm, worked so hard I couldn't unwind, get some money saved
Abuse my love a thousand times however hard I tried
Heartbreaker, your time has come, can't take your evil way
Go away you heartbreaker, heartbreaker, heartbreaker, heart
Bill knows. He's a pro.

Especially on RP! William? Only here would there be a chance for it to actually happen.
The guitar work is still jaw dropping, ain't it?
For me it's JPJ's ridiculously fuzzy bass that hits the hardest even in 2024. Just amazing and goes right to your bones.
This should never not be followed by Livin' Lovin' Maid.
Same as The Load Out/Stay - Jackson Browne.
My damn iPod does it also
please, more Zeppelin
And what if God wants YES MORE Zeppelin? Perhaps you're dazed and confused.
LOL!! Too Funny!!
More LZ! How can you beat the searing guitar, driving bass, crashing powerful drumming and superlative singing!
Like them, do ya?
I never really ‘got‘ Led Zeppelin, most of their stuff is just a bunch of mind numbing noise
Thank God for the Noise!
God, please, no more Zeppelin.

You should probably get your hearing checked out. There are conditions where you're not hearing notes the same as the rest of us..
Sophomore-album mediocrity? Not to my ears....though it would be good to hear an instrumental number, like "Bonzo's Montreux" for instance, so I'm half in agreement with you....though it's the lesser half....still have this one at a 9 (and the next track too of course0 and LONG LIVE RP!!
Eh!
YUPP.
I particularly love Jones organ affect on this or whatever it is he is playing.
Shut up and go put on a Dave Mathews CD.
I smell trolling in the original post. This is a 10 for anyone.
Had to buy a second copy of this album after a couple of years. The first one was far too scratched and gouged ...
Thank goodness for Ahmet Ertegun's musical vision at Atlantic Records!
<edit 2 mins later> and THANKS FOR THE SEGUE TO LIVING LOVING MAID!
Bill, how about queueing up some instrumental tracks from these guys.

Less is more.

BEANS
Stinking Abba lover...
Bought it back then and never tire of hearing it!
The precisely orchestrated mayhem of JPJ's arrangements are unsurpassed.
Not sure if this song is helping or hurting.
OK...I stopped laughing now.
Ponderous. Starting to show its age. Not sure I can give it any more than a 6 now.
Stinking Abba lover...
I am in total agreement!
I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Bill, at his computer, air-guitar to hand, head-lashing to this one.
Could happen.
You cannot play Heartbreaker without following it up with Living Loving Maid.
That breaks all rules of coolness.
OK, actually my parents insisted on the headphones because they couldn't stand me playing it at full volume.
And now you know "the rest of the story"

Three tracks of Zep or Zimmy is not too much.
I think RP does not do Cliff Richard though!
Thanks Bill!
You're either way too old or way too young to make such an uninformed comment.
Every time I see you you're either alone or with someone else.
The person you responded to is about a year younger than you are.
Thank you to all who made this possible!
Rock on brothers and sisters
You're telling us 'cause you got high from listening to it. Just ask idiot_wind.
Ah, cleaning a quarter on the album cover, saving the seeds for a "roadside planting" and then rolling the whole thing up for the after party.
Sweet Jesus.
GO TO JAYZUSS U HEATHENS!!!
You're telling us 'cause you got high from listening to it. Just ask idiot_wind.
Oh shit I am dancing in my cubicle
Play more of these bands. They are "real RnR".
ex girlfriend?
He did the VERY SAME THING TODAY. My policy is to giive Little Richard an hour to let it all out.
Heartbreaker without Living Loving Maid is heresy!

I think it was yesterday I read a reply to a post like this...
"Jaded and cynical. "
Hmmmm ... can't quite recall who wrote that, now.
ex girlfriend?
a RnR band in it's prime with a kick ass lead guitar player, a vocalist that defined hard rock vocals, a bass player that never lost the groove, and a drummer who plays with sledge hammer arms.
And their music was never over-produced or mover-mixed. You can hear the squeaks with the fingers on the strings and the cracks in the vocal chords.
God...what F&^$%# happened to this music form?
blame it on the record labels churning out pop muzak, pro tools, auto tune, modern technology etc....
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT BROTHER, WOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! ONE ROCKIN' BUNCHA NOISE MAN THAT KICKS ASS!

wore the grooves out of my record I played it so often... and yes, we called them records not vinyls.
and Bill, I agree with Dave, they flowed together on the album. It's quite the letdown when it doesn't follow.
I had this on cassette, and Heartbreaker was at the end of side one and LLM was the beginning of side two, so they obviously didn't flow there. I was confused for a while when I'd hear them played together.
I had that cassette in my car playing continuously for about a year, just looping through. I was in college at the time and didn't drive a lot, but when I was in there, that was my driving soundtrack. Then I spent a year with Physical Graffiti. Then my roomate took it out to play some gangster rap of some sort and left it on the seat on a hot summer day and that was the end of that.
LOL, Had to laugh at "6:30 on a Sunday morning" crack. My thoughts are that's when you need it most!
I have all those led songs so imbedded into my mind. They have become a part of me. They take me to so many times and places in my past. Instant feel better. Best medicine ever.
Led Forever.
Because a lot of them are trying to impress people with hyper-speed tempos and the ugliest power chords they can dream up. That's not musicianship.
The heart wants what it wants....
cracking segue grommit - black keys to LZ
The original has it all though
Needs more cowbell.
A least the first half of it.
Because it's supposed to segue directly into the next track. Back in the 80's many of the AOR radio stations in the US played "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid" together. But RP seems to play only "Heartbreaker."
Super every time

I think I was 15 before I even knew they were separate songs.
