Right, and don't you EVER fucking mess with my coffee.
🤣
Coffee is a crap way to wake-up in the morning.
It makes your teeth turn brown, creates nasty coffee breath, is addictive (something many coffee drinkers are in denial about) and makes the drinking crabby if they don't get their coffee when they want it. Addictions are not worth having. A month without coffee, and the brain will stop demanding it.
Thank you Squeeze. Gifford and Tilbrook know how to put together a decent tune. Their singles album is a fine listen.
Show up at MY door and you will leave, wearing coffee!
Fun fact: Elvis Costello and Paul Young sing backup ("black, black, coffee in bed").
Thank You for the info!

A month without coffee, and that will seem like a lifetime...
Alcohol’s worse! Nobody ever got pulled over for too much caffeine! 😎

Difford and Tilbrook.. A pair of genius songwriters.
i remember when younger thinking this was a sad song. but it really, isn't. it's an "i've moved on (even if it wasn't originally his choice)" song. i really dig that it isn't.

Oh, now I totally hear Elvis. That's cool.

I've been listening to this song for 40 years and never noticed who the backup singers were. Now that I've read this comment it is so clear to me and I can easily identify their voices. I'm amazed that I never noticed this before!

LOL!! Same here!

Wrong - "Slap and Tickle" is the worst song on the album .... and "Slap and Tickle" is a good song.
Fair enough.
Hey, anyone remember interesting chord progressions in pop?
Fun fact: Elvis Costello and Paul Young sing backup ("black, black, coffee in bed").
I can hear Paul but if Elvis is singing his mix is too low. Great tune BTW.
People were comparing them to the "next Beatles!"
But not until they were told by A&R people at the label and a critic or two that they were the next Beatles.
Then there's Steve Forbert being the next Dylan, also not his idea.
What a bunch of cobblers.
F#&ing cobblers.
Hum i just love this band, and this song, so you are now wrong

Yeah, how can one be so wrong? This is what pop ought to sound like. A 10 now and forever.
(IMHO)
What a bunch of cobblers.
Well someone did not had his coffee this morning !
