Yeah this was a nice surprise. It got better as it went on. However on my next listen will that be enough?
My 22 year old son introduced me to Laufey, kept playing her stuff in the car. So, two things. One, he's super cool and clearly has awesome taste. Two, her talent spans the generational gap.

Wow, what a great voice. Pitch perfect and lovely phrasing. Add to this she is a classical cello soloist. Check out her concert with the Iceland Symphony. Opening with an 8 from Napoli on the Gulf.

A ballad that echoes sounds from the best tradition of romantic music of the 70s, in a strange way I find reassuring that a crazy year like 2025 is capable of gems like this. Laufey is an amazing Icelandic discovery, thanks RP
