Something about this music reminds me of Tananas. One of the best musical acts to come out of Cape Town. If you haven't eard of them yet, look them up.
Tananas were fantastic but I hear that Steve Newman has had health problems.
This track does somehow capture the mania of day-to-day life and the sense that it will all be okay, nevertheless. There's probably some technical musical explanation for this involving meters and scales (I'm not an expert – can you tell?), but my overall impression is that it is textured and interesting.
It's in a 5/4 time signature which, i think, helps contribute to a subtle subversion of aural expectations for most listeners, and both propels the piece forward while also creating a slight sense of unease.

everything is going to be ok
I hope so...
This certainly helps!

I will check them out. Thank You.
I like this on first hearing. Some interesting metres, relaxing and stimulating at the same time.
A well deserved ‘10’ from me.

Fantastic band. Go see them live if you get the chance.

I got a feeling like I get from Vince Guraldi. Gogo Penguin, that is my highest praise.
That's what makes RP so special ... The Stone Roses followed by this, love it!
Very nice addition. Has elements of a Windham Hill, circa 1980’s feel to it.
Huh. I haven’t thought or heard about Windham hill in decades. Probably, not since I bought a receiver without a phono input and stopped listening to vinyl. Pretty sure my Mark Isham and Michael Hedges records were Windham Hill.
