So... we got it all worked out where we could go... appy got days off from work, I rescheduled a school thing. We had $800 kind of fall into our laps we were going to use for plane tix...

But then we decided we need to be 'responsible.'
Now anyone that knows me knows that I'm all for doing stuff NOW because you don't live forever.... but that $800 is really sorely needed on the debt front. We're still chugging away at the credit card debt... but the good news is that it went from threatening to drown us about 4 years ago to almost being paid off now... if we keep up the plan we've been doing, it will ALL be paid off in less than 24 more months. Still a ways to go, but the end is in sight. So we'd both feel pretty guilty for going on a trip, especially since we both got to go to Alaska last summer.
If another $800 falls into my lap between now and then, I know what I'm doing with it.

Only thing is... appy's company has a quarterly meeting up in PA sometime in October. Date hasn't been set yet. Hope to hear something in next few days. He thinks it'll be at the end of October, but we can't buy tickets until we know for sure.

Last weekend was not a good one for me - on many levels.  I saw the lineup months ago and wished I could've gone.  Mebbe later.
