Going to Jackson to see the Old 97s (for free!). After a few decades of always missing them, we've gotten to see the Old 97's a couple of times now. Hoping this venue is cool and fun; the other place we've seen them is a boring concrete box.
Bonus: We're staying at this campground:
Enjoy the show and keep your camera handy just in case El Bison Loco starts strutting his stuff again.

So I just turned on RP and the first song I hear is from Samantha Fish's new LP, Paper Dolls. One of the ones she played last night when she ripped the roof off the venue. This is an artist that I probably wouldn't have been exposed to if not for William and Radio Paradise.
As soon as she will tour in Europe I will check the dates, because - thanks to RP - she has been one of my favourites in 2026 so far.
The other 20s girl I'd love to see is Goldie Boutilier, who is currently touring, but only with a drummer and a guitarist (according to some recent videos on Youtube): it's a shame because her songs have great orchestrations and she deserves a real band. With Fleetwood Mac vibes. Goldie Boutilier - Cowboy Gangster Politician

Great show! Third time in about seven years that we've seen him and he doesn't disappoint! Only issue was the lead guitar was mixed a little too loud - it was in a pretty small, intimate venue, so that really wasn't necessary.

Nice - Not gonna watch since I have upcoming tix and want to be a little bit surprised. The one song I love that I know they won't do I put on the RP Mixtape:

Was I in for a treat, she was freaking fabulous!! Opened up with the MC5's Kick out the Jams and was off and running. Tremendous energy, Holy Shit guitar licks and great reach on Vocals. Add in that she was easy on the eyes in a tight leather Cat-woman suit and it had the makings of one of the best shows I've seen in years.

Samantha Fish Friday night at the Lebanon Opera House, Lebanon NH. First time for both the artist and the venue.

I've lost count any many times I've seen him. He toured every year, sometimes twice a year, and would book as many as 5 nights in Philly per tour. We would go to any many as we could. Tickets were cheap back then.
Check out the Hammersmith Odeon concert from 1975. It's as close to a live experience as you'll get for a video. Go full screen and Turn it up! https://brucespringsteen.net/a...
A bit different from Sprinsteen, sorry ;)
First time they come back to Europe since (pre-covid) 2019 ... I only saw them once back then, but the concert was phenomenal.

Yes.
My first two shows were bookends to this. He had to truncate these shows because of curfew, but - if you want to know why he's The Boss, this is it. Crank it up and put it on the biggest screen you can, and make it through all the encores (he did five the first time I saw him, right after the Darkness and before the legendary River)
It was a great show last night at Nats Park in DC that I enjoyed thoroughly despite steady rain and very uncomfortable humidity. I have attended many concerts by Bruce and the E Street Band, starting in the 1970s. He never fails to deliver; this time playing almost three hours straight through â at 76 years of age. As one attendee stated on the way out: He is a national treasure.
The performance was powerful, unrelenting, and uplifting. Great solos by Nils Lofgren and Tom Morello, including a phenomenal one by Morello during The Ghost of Tom Joad. After an opening mini-speech by Bruce on the reason for the Land of Hope and Dreams tour, they launched into War, an anthem of the Vietnam War era performed by Edwin Starr. Followed by Born in the USA and then Clampdown, the great Clash song. Musical punctuation points for the message Bruce was intent on conveying.
Bruce has never been shy about expressing his opinions. This, though, was different. At several points during the concert, he spoke eloquently about American values and how those are being lost amidst threats to our democracy (I am poorly paraphrasing, of course ). He talked of obligations of citizenry, his and ours. The music, as always, spoke for itself. It was clear, though, that he also wanted to deliver his spoken-word message and plea.
Unfortunately, during his concluding spoken-word address, someone behind me yelled (again, paraphrasing): âShut the f**k up and play music.â
Reflecting on that today, I wonder why anyone would come to that show unaware that this tour was being used by Bruce especially to express these opinions and deliver these messages. Moreover, I always wonder why people object to musicians, like Bruce, from using their platforms to express views they hold that may not be shared by everyone. If I had a platform like that, I would use it.

Bruce was expensive - i paid a grand for two seats near the mixer - but it was about three hours long, full throttle (not like when Billie Joe Armstrong laid down on stage and noodled), and there were SEVENTEEN musicians on stage the whole time, with Tom Morello helping out on some songs and Nils Lofgren on fire. People that work that hard need to get paid.

being an old guy....I'll take the shorter set.
I saw Sting last summer...great show and similar showtime. With opening act and break, maybe three hours total. Got home by 11.
