He should have won an oscar for this one, too.

I enjoyed SEND HELP last night although it had some flaws in the plot. But to make up for it were the times I laughed out loud at Raimi’s “yes, it’s me, and here’s what you’re expecting” moments, like a camera fast running down a path, and some other things like SPOILER.

Summing up, it’s his version of a cross between girl power and Revenge of the Nerds, with a touch of (and acknowledgment of) Survivor.
There’s one jump scare which is simply annoying, LOTS of gore, and some dark humor. Don’t go if squeamish or insistent on making it into some Big Statement. It’s just a horror-comedy film by a master.

I saw “A Complete Unknown” yesterday & it was awesome. I highly recommend catching it in the theater. Timothee Chalamet nailed it.

Netflix - Carry On - ABSOLUTELY!!! 
Even the Better Half™ loved it.
Don’t read up on it, because the surprises are fun. (My favorite scene is the beautifully directed fight in the agent’s car. Amazing.) 

Enjoyed sitting in a movie theater again, and thought Conclave was worth the trip. 
Although, without giving anything away, it echoes another movie I saw a bit less than thirty years ago, that a younger generation likely hasn't seen. 
No spoilers.

Still, a pro cast and entertaining.

Forget "Horizon", Kevin Costner's new work if you're looking for a good Western. Instead, check out "The Dead Don't HURT" by Viggo Mortensen.

Maestro is intensely boring despite the terrific job by Bradley Cooper.

my mother and i went to see Maestro on friday.
i really enjoyed it (except for one small thing you couldn't get away from). i thought it was well done and i had my reservations on how cooper was going to pull this off, but he did an amazing job. i learned a lot about bernstein and the music was fantastic.
