Unfortunately yes. There are some limitations.
You can ask what's playing. "Alexa, ask Radio Paradise what's playing"
Or to get the song info to display on a screen. You can try playing via TuneIn.
"Alexa, play Radio Paradise on TuneIN"
TuneIN will sometimes play the wrong station though.

Agree about the boominess. You have to take the bass down a bit using the equaliser to make it sound OK, but when you do it sounds pretty excellent. Personally I have bass at -2, mid at -3 and treble at +2 and that suits me. If you don’t like much bass then -3 might be good and is probably more “neutral”. The easiest wayto adjust this is to just tell Alexa what you want it set to, such as “Alexa set bass to minus three” and so on. If you use the app you just set one of the set and that adjusts all of them.

I was disappointed the skill wasn't working on the 2.1 system and packed it up and sent it back. It was a sexy addition to my kitchen. Hopefully the skill gods get it going.

We have two Echo Dots and 2 FireTV sticks. No idea why she's trying to fetch it from the FTv rather than using the skill (and the one she tries to fetch it from is never powered off anyway). I end up having to play from TuneIn instead. Anyone else? Thoughts? Thanks! Meant to circle back earlier, but @jarro was spot on with his diagnosis. We've not had the problem again since.

Is this an incompatibility with the latest Echo firmware (613509320) or with the multi room pair?

I guess this new sub 2.1 Amazon Echo system doesn't support amazon "skills" including the RP skill (info from amazon). i'm totally bumbed

There are ways to set up "multi-room groups" through the "Audio Groups" or Smart Home options (I did it once but forgot how; IIRC it was pretty easy), so each speaker will play the same signal. I don't think there is yet a way to do discrete stereo pairing with Echo speakers like some other speakers can. *edit: Apparently there will soon be a way to do stereo pairing. The new sub allows 2.1 Stereo, but the RP skill doesn't work with 2.1. It will only play on 1 Echo speaker. Oops. Now that I re-read your initial post I realized that you already had stereo set up. I must've just concentrated on the last sentence. it sounds great on tune-in (no idea of bit-rate) but i would assume the RP skill wound be awesome and have more options. You have to say "Alexa, ask Radio Paradise what's playing". You can search the playlist for previously-played tracks, but in this case you had skipped ahead on the playlist, so as far as the web history was concerned, that song hadn't played yet. It was Back To Black by Amy Winehouse. We're working on a bunch of refinements on our new website, one of which will allow you to have the website display track what's playing on Alexa (that already works with our phone apps). Unfortunately, having Alexa respond to "Alexa, what's playing?" (like she does when you're playing from Prime Music) is not currently possible.
