"One entrepreneurial resident recently launched an app, Snapcrap, that allows users to send photos and the location of feces to the city’s clean-up crews."
There used to be a OH wait, still there:
My last trip, I met up with my sister who stayed in a motel a block over. It was affordable, I guess.

Damn at least you have whats given to you? Your folks at home dont agree that you should have something of theirs?
Forgive me if I'm prying,
No one I know has agreed to give me anything. Even if they did, there would no place to put anything. Basically, I live in a very small office with a very small bedroom attached to it.

I tried out a new-to-me app called Shazam. You press a button and it listens then identifies whatever music is playing. I wanted to see if my music was in its database - it's supposed to be... but it wasn't. I guess I must have left it on auto-tagging because a few minutes later it correctly identified a 10 year old cartoon episode of Batman that was playing in another room. Pretty cool.
I'm amazed at how much background noise it will filter out to get a result. I've used it in crowded restaurants with reasonable results.
