And yet, no-one translated the 27-page Japanese manual in micro-print, and the trauma combined...
Such jobs as translators once came to me as a potential "career".
Still thankful, the Lord forbade me.
Lessons learned:
We 're all pros.
Therefore,
always check the manual!

For the lack of a "What did you do today" thread...
I descaled my DeLonghi espresso machine. A task I dislike doing to the point I'll go without it for a week or two. The first step (descaling) only takes maybe 5 minutes or so. But the next two steps (rinsing) takes 3 times longer because for some reason it will not squirt water as fast as when it's descaling. Have no idea why except that it knows the descaling was done and it needs a slower rinse?
Also replaced a double-switch in the bathroom (one for fan, one for light). Then came the testing and both switches would turn both the fan and light on. Ugh! So I did what I always do when things I fix don't work accordingly...i read the instructions.
Turns out that one side of the apparatus had a removable tab that needed removing to operate the switches on separate circuits. Or something like that. Presto. All's fine.

We didn't have time for
Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar) so I didn't get to play my kazoo or slide whistle parts I came up with for that. Lotta fun! Maybe next time!

Speaking of harmonicas, the Godley & Creme album âGoodbye Blue Skyâ has harmonica on every track, just because.
New to me. That number sounded like they might have had a few yellow jackets or maybe black beauties when they recorded that lol.

To be such a small instrument, the harmonica can be a compliment or a ruination. I just love the juxtaposition and responsibility. lol

After work I'm going to have 8 MRI's, 4 with contrast and 4 without. We're trying to figure out if I had a stoke or TIA earlier this month and then 4 hours in the chair tomorrow for my monthly infusion. Happy New Year, maybe, if I'm awake.
Sincerely,
BTC
I hope you get good results.

The results just came in. No issues in the noggin. No stroke. No aneurysms found as well.
There are however spinal issues in the C 4 - C7 area as well as T1 -T2.
The C section accounts for the numbness, at least some of it. I had a nasty car accident back in the 90's that is responsible for the neck. Rear ended while stopped because of a DARE parade, on a hill and a kid came around the corner in a CRV and hit me at about 35 mph. I was able to drive my car home. His was towed. The lower lumbar area was from trying to catch a falling 60 lb box about 15 years ago. Shoulda let it drop.
2 hours in the tube.
So much more good news than bad. I'll take it. Knowing why helps a lot.
Thanks for the good thoughts !
