When my grandfather died in the late 90s, I went out and purchased a bottle on my way to see my father and uncle that night.  Picked up this... a 1980 bottle of Macallan 18.

They both drank scotch... I almost never do.

Fast forward to last Thursday... my aunt died.   I picked up the half of a bottle left in the box, in my basement, and went over to my uncles.  With my cousin and uncle, we drank about 80% of what was left.

I thought it was pretty damn good... but what do I know.

I just looked it up, and that bottle is now worth about $4k unopened.

Who knew?

Been a long while since i splurged. Special occasion. (Don't ask )

I had one of these NA Coronas recently, and it was really quite good. Finally found some in the grocery store yesterday. Recommended.
